The Games are on!

Autonity is an EVM based public blockchain for decentralized derivatives clearing.

Autonity’s mainnet launch is on the way with the go-live of Autonity testnets Bakerloo and Piccadilly!

To celebrate this milestone, Autonity has launched a set of challenges for the Autonity community called the Piccadilly Circus Games Competition.

Ready to take part?

You can enter the competition in any game round and take part in as many of the tasks as you want. It’s never too late to join in, but of course you can learn more and perhaps collect more points if you enter early!

The Games run on the Piccadilly testnet over a sequence of rounds; see Game Structure on this page. Awards are offered for each Round.

To take part, just:

  • Sign up - see Register and get going. You can join in any Round of the Games; don’t wait for a round to finish!
  • Choose what to take part in - check out the challenges in the current round - Round #5.
  • Connect with the community. Join the Autonity Discord, the main social hub of the Autonity community, for discussions about the game and Autonity in general; and follow the project on X (formerly Twitter…) so you don’t miss any key announcements!

The primary goal of the Games is to bring together many different members of the Autonity community in a competitive game setting that is challenging, fun and a productive addition to development and testing efforts working toward mainnet launch.

Whether you’re an Automaton already, or a visitor just checking the project out, the Games are open to all who are up for the challenge!

Register and get going

To enter the competition, simply complete the registration form and get setup in just a few easy steps.

See the Quick start page for how to register and get going!

When you’re set up, check out the Round #5 challenges, and connect with the community!

Game Structure

  • 6 sequential game rounds
  • Multiple categories of tasks across those rounds
  • You tackle tasks in each round to win points
  • The top N participants (by points) in each task challenge win Awards Tributes that will distributed after the upcoming Autonity Mainnet, which will happen at some point after the conclusion of Game Round 6.

Each round consists of a set of tasks across categories that contribute to different dimensions of the Autonity project. Every task targets a particular aspect of the Autonity protocol and the tasks change each round, so the Games are dynamic and evolve over time.

Game Rounds

Details of each game round’s tasks and start/end dates are released before the round begins. There will be intermissions of some days between each round, a period which will sometimes include a protocol upgrade of the Piccadilly testnet.

Tasks & Points

Points are earned by game participants for successfully completing tasks.

Bug Bounty A community bug-bounty programme rewarding the discovery of bugs in software and docs.
Community Incentives A set of community development awards, covering social media.
Fill the Blocks Take part in a smart contract game. Details to be announced soon…

The number of points a participant earns for completing a task is determined by the task’s scoring rule, which incorporates factors such as the task’s difficulty, value to the project, and quantitative or qualitative features of the participant’s performance in completing the task.

Participants can take part in as many task categories as they like. You can view the overall progress of the competition on the game’s Leaderboards. You can also check your validator status on the Validators Dashboard.

Points & Awards

For each task there is a fixed award amount and number of winners. The winners are those who have accumulated the most points in that task at the end of the game round. After each round ends, the award winners for that round are determined based on the scoreboard and the winners are announced.

Award winners receive Award Tributes. Up to 1,000,000 Award Tributes are allocated to the Games. Award Tributes are convertible to the Autonity stake token NTN after Autonity’s mainnet Launch.

Awards will be distributed only to those participants who can at the end of the Games cryptographically prove ownership of the Autonity account registered at the beginning of their game participation and who complete a KYC/AML process. Awards are attributed on a basis of an individual party that has passed this process, not per entries on the scoreboards. More information on this can be found in the T&Cs.
