Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct for Piccadilly Circus Games Competition participants

Last updated: March 9th, 2023

This Code of Conduct (“CoC”) sets out the norms, proper practices, and expectations of Participants in the Piccadilly Circus Games Competition (“PCGC”) herein under the purview of the PCGC Terms.

Expectations and Scope

PCGC Participants are expected to interact in an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community, free of harassment. We, as a community, pledge to maintain this environment for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics and orientation, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, or religion.

This CoC applies within Autonity project spaces, and in public spaces when a Participant is making references to the PCGC, the Autonity project or its community. Participants are required to abide by the CoC and it will be enforced by the PCGC’s Service Provider.

Behaviours encouraged

We view these behaviours as positive to achieving our goals as a community:

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people
  • Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
  • Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by our mistakes, and learning from the experience
  • Focusing on what is best not just for us as individuals, but for the overall community

Behaviours that are unacceptable

We as a community view as unacceptable and prohibited in the PCGC the following behaviours:

  • Offensive comments such as the use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind

  • Any public or private activity related to harassing, demeaning, insulting, trolling, mocking, stalking, or intimidating others, or any derogatory comments, especially as those relate to characteristics such as:

    • Gender
    • Sexual orientation
    • Physical or mental ability
    • Age
    • Socioeconomic status
    • Ethnicity
    • Physical appearance
    • Race
    • Religion
    • Country of origin
    • Political orientation
  • Publishing others’ private information, such as a physical or email address, without their explicit permission

  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting such as cheating or taking unfair advantage of other contributors’ work or efforts without their permission

Participants asked to stop any behaviour deemed unacceptable per the above are expected to comply with the Service Provider’s instructions immediately.

Reporting process

If you feel uncomfortable or think there may be a potential violation of this code of conduct, please report it immediately within #user-support on PCGC’s Discord. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated.

Resolution

If a Participant engages in behaviour that violates this CoC, the Service Provider or prevailing community administrators will respond in a way that is deemed appropriate and proportional to the circumstances, including warning the offending Participant or preventing the Participant from participating in the PCGC.
