On-chain Tasks

Transact and trade! Take part in stake delegation, borrow, and trade on- off-chain to find αlpha and top the leaderboard. Points are earned proportional to performance. There are two tasks in the category: Trading markets - PnL with up to 220 winners and Go with the flow with up to 120 winners!

Synopsis

During this round, the focus is transact and trade. Participation in trading, borrowing, and stake delegation markets is the primary area of activity.

For each task, points are earned to participants based on their performance over the course of Round #4. The task scoreboards can be viewed on the Leaderboards page.

For each task, points are a function of empirical measurements using on-chain queries. See the scoring rules on each task description page for details.

Trade and provide liquidity on- and off-chain

Round #4 on-chain tasks are focused on simulating trading activity in ATN and NTN. Points are earned for levels of transaction activity and trading profit.

Your game funding

Your principal source of game funding is 1M Fake USD in the game’s off-chain exchange simulator the Centralized Auton Exchange (CAX).

Use your CAX account to purchase ATN and NTN for on-chain use. Your off-chain CAX account is linked to your on-chain registered participant account, so you can easily move ATN and NTN on- and off-chain any time.

Note that you also receive a ‘get going’ funding amount of 1 ATN and 1 NTN to your registered participant account on-chain. You have immediate funds to register and be eligible for committee selection if you want to run a validator node!

For how to access your CAX account, see the Getting started pages: Quick start and the how to guide Use the CAX.

Your trading opportunities

There are multiple ways and places to trade in Round #4:

  • Trade off-chain on the Centralized Auton Exchange (CAX). Trade in ATN/USD and NTN/USD markets, and create market depth in the orderbook.
  • Trade on-chain on the Decentralized Auton Exchange (DAX) on-chain. DAX is a Uniswap V2 AMM clone where you can trade and provide liquidity to the ATN/NTN pool. Receive DAX liquidity provider tokens for providing liquidity. If you want, you can create new pools to trade&hellip:
  • Stake NTN. Bond NTN stake token to validators to earn staking rewards and receive Liquid Newton, Autonity’s liquid staking token
  • Borrow ATN. Borrow ATN for NTN collateral in the Auton Stabilization Mechanism (ASM) by taking out a Collateralized Debt Position (CDP).

Awards

Round #4 awards each On-chain Task individually:

The award pools are distributed according to the number of participants that took part in the task and adjusted based on individual score for the task. Higher the score, higher the share of the award pool…

Scoring rule

Round #4 scores each On-chain Task individually using a methodology based on:

  • an award pool of a fixed amount for a task
  • a floor and ceiling for participation and winner numbers to calculate winner award allocations:
    • a significance threshold \(R\) of 95%. The top ranked users that accumulate 95% or more of the total score for the task are eligible. This puts a minimum score floor on the task.
    • a minimum number of participants below which a partial distribution of the reward allocation takes place - \(N_{fb}\)
    • a maximum number of winners for the task - \(N_{max}\)
  • points are scored for task completion by stated scoring criteria
  • winners are ranked by scoreboard position. In the case that participation is higher than \(N_{max}\), the top scoring participants up to \(N_{max}\) will be chosen as winners.
  • task participation must be significant. Only significantly scoring participants are counted - i.e. the top ranked users that have accumulated the \(R\) of 95% or more of the total score
  • awards from the pool are distributed to the winners. Each winner’s award amount is calculated according to their score and the total number of winners.

The significance threshold puts a minimum score floor on the task. Scores must be in the \(R\) top 95 percentile to be eligible for an award.

The \(N_{fb}\) floor allows for a low participation scenario resulting in the entire award pool going to a few participants rather than the wider community. If this scenario were to happen, then the remaining reward allocation is carried forward for future incentives.
